Senior Java Developer
You will contribute significantly to successful project results in Market Management System (MMS) projects in Power Grids, Poland. Reporting to the Eryk Zajdel, you will work independently while collaborating with, and providing guidance to, the wider R&D team.
Your responsibilities
- Designing and developing complex enterprise class software for energy market operators
- Ensuring code quality and following best software development practices: Unit Tests, Code Reviews
- Being a member of a cross discipline team, active participation in all team’s activities, focusing on a common goal
- Managing end to end development tasks and taking ownership of the developed ones
Your background
- Minimum Bachelor in computer science or equal with minimum 5 years of experience in Java Development
- Experience in Java 8, HTML, Tomcat, Java Servlet, Web Services and Maven/Gradle
- Experience in Mockito, JUnit or TestNG
- Relational database access programming essential
- Knowledge of any: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, PL/SQL
- Experience in JavaScript and tools like React or Angular is a plus
- Knowledge of Linux, Redis, performance and integration testing is a plus
- Experience with Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
- Strong understanding the principles of service-oriented software, enterprise integration patterns and large-scale distributed systems
- Enterprise application development experience with J2EE based systems including JMS Messaging, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP server, JBoss or equivalent is desirable
- Knowledge of XML, XSD, XSL, JSON, WSDL, SOAP, Restful Web Services is a plus
- Secure coding practices, static code analysis, threat modeling and software configuration management tools a plus
- Team player able to be proactive in seeking information and reaching out to people
- Hard and dedicated worker with Innovative approach, being able to input new design / technologies in existing code
