At the moment we are looking for talented candidates for the following role:
- Degree in IT and Microsoft Certified qualifications (MCSE, MCSA or MCP), ITIL V3 / COBIT would be an advantage.
- 3 - 5 years, involved in hands on day-to-day IT and also working knowledge of all levels of IT support.
- Fluency in English (work in the international environment).
- Confident, proactive character with very good communication skills.
- Ability to listen and understand / deal with challenging situations.
- Ability to forward think and effect continuous improvement.
- Strong interest in the continuing personal development and taking on more senior role.
- Proven experience of identifying opportunities for improvement and change in an organization reluctant to process and change.
- Ability to understand the needs of the business and engineers to enhance efficiency and be able to translate that back into IT speak.
- Proven experience of creating and monitoring SLAs with clients and ensuring key objectives are delivered.
Operational (circa 75% of working time)
- Day to day support with a sole responsibility for Warsaw office – direct responsibility for all IT Systems provided by head office and Service specifically: communications (switch board, Wi-Fi, Email, Video Conferencing, Desktop Collaboration Tools, Telephones), devices and applications (Standardized Desktop, Virus Protection, Engineering Systems), infrastructure (cabling floor boxes, LAN/WAN, Systems hosting, Logon (AD), Network Services, Remote Working, Storage, Backup, Print), Service Desk (IT Helpdesk, Local 2nd Line Support, 3rd Line System/Application Support), IT hardware purchase & preparation for use.
- Make and implement IT solutions to increase effectiveness and efficiency of project delivery.
- Support engineers to understand their processes and working practices.
- Ensure Buro Happold staff / senior staff are kept informed of relevant IT matters.
- Provide global support as part of the wider IT team.
Strategic (circa 25% of working time)
- Manage elements of budgets relating to providing the service.
- Improve the service to the local office (within a global improvement framework).
- Gather insight and feedback to the centrally based IT teams to improve the working efficiency of our end customer engineers.
