The IT Operations team provides technical leadership, guidance, and support for our client engagements. The successful IT Operations Technician candidate will have a proven history of implementing, documenting, and supporting IT Infrastructure, using industry best practices, across a range of technologies (eg. Windows Server, SQL, ADFS, IIS, SharePoint Server, Linux, and Apache).
- Provide expertise for IT infrastructure and related services in accordance with contractually established term and conditions as well as established standards
- Provides technical input, solutions, and recommendations for client requests
- Work with Service Desk to ensure client incidents and requests are resolved in accordance with client contractual SLAs
- Monitor service delivery compliance to quality standards as well as client and internal business requirements
- Develop documentation on client infrastructure to provide to client Service Manager and Service Desk team
- Provide IT infrastructure lifecycle technical support, including planning, installation, on-going management/monitoring and troubleshooting following operational policies & processes compliant with industry standards (ITIL)
- Ensure client hosted environment, website, and overall infrastructure uptime is maintained
- 5+ years’ experience working in an IT role, with 3+ years implementing and supporting IT infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge in infrastructure technologies including (but not limited to):
- Windows Server
- Windows Azure/Cloud Services
- SQL
- IIS
- SharePoint
- Hyper-V/VMWare
- Active Directory
- Linux
- Apache
- Enterprise data protection
- IPv4 and IPv6 TCP/IP architecture
- Firewall technologies
- Windows Powershell
- Experience in documenting solutions, builds and processes including creating Network Infrastructure diagrams
- Proven ability to create, implement, and enforce IT best practices and support policies
- Highly developed problem solving skills
- Communication skills (written and verbal) with attention to detail
- Ability to handle most unique situations, multiple assignments and manage priorities
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and industry certification
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in IT or Computer-related studies
- Microsoft certification MCP or MCSE is preferred
- ITIL qualification would be an asset
