Senior Integration and Testing Engineer

Radio Frequency Software department is looking for motivated software development professionals for the position of Senior Integration Engineer. We are a part of Nokia Radio Frequency and Advanced Antennas organization. RF Software is responsible for specifying, designing, implementing, testing and maintaining radio products’ software for various radio access technologies, including GSM, WCDMA, LTE and 5G. We are divided into self-organizing teams, working in Agile environment. Our products are developed mainly in C++ and C on several software architecture layers, including those close to hardware, as well as on higher levels of abstraction. We are also responsible for our products’ integration throughout the whole product life cycle, which is performed in the automated Continuous Integration environment.

• Ensuring successful integration of software systems and components across hardware platforms, according to specified requirements (either working independently or supervising a team of engineers)

• Defining and verifying requirements and technical documentation related to implementation of new features

• Active participation in planning, designing, implementing and execution of tests within the frame of specific project

• Development of test plans and test procedures, performing risk analysis when required

• Participation in custom integration tests designing and functional specifications reviews to identify open issues

• Assessing software quality and developing test tools to increase test effectiveness and efficiency

• Close cooperation with other project teams and stakeholders from foreign locations

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or similar

• Broad experience in HW/SW testing

• Experience in test planning and creation of test architecture

• Deep understanding of radio frequency (RF) related aspects, including 3GPP standards

• Knowledge of the architecture and functionality of 2G/3G/4G (GSM, WCDMA, LTE) systems

• Programming skills in script languages (e.g. Python)

• Experience with quality tools and technics (e.g. RCA/EDA, Ishikawa diagram)

• Experience with embedded systems

• Experience in working with Linux-based platforms

• Knowledge of TCP/IP

• Experience in the area of HW digital interfaces

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Developed analytical skills

• Fluent English, both spoken and written

• Experience with measurement equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators and microprocessor debuggers)

• ISTQB Certificate

• Advanced team-leading skills

• Highly developed problem solving skills
