For our client, a global pharmaceutical company, that establishes a new Finance Sheared Service Centre in Cracow, we are currently looking for Candidates to fill a position as Senior General Ledger Accountant.
Senior General Ledger Accountant position is accountable for creating journal entries and assembling supporting documentation, as well as for tracking the contents of accounts, creating portions of the financial statements, and writing related disclosures. Moreover the scope of responsibilities includes:
• Daily GL postings incl. upload of pay roll files, recurring documents and re-postings
• Daily upload of EBS and MC bank files into SAP
• Daily posting of bank files and monthly balancing of bank accounts
• The Company Expense: Processing of travel reports, personal expenses, support and training of users, user master data administration incl. MasterCard in Bank and balancing MasterCard account
• Monthly Statistic List and Intrastat reporting
• Various Month End tasks and balancing.
• Intercompany reconciliation and quarterly Intercompany interest’s calculation and invoicing.
• VAT calculation, reporting and balancing. Prove on a balance of probabilities on incoming and outgoing VAT
A successful Candidate should be fluent in English and have at least 3 years of experience with accounting, preferable from a SSC environment. The Candidate must have solid SAP and Excel experience. We are looking for service minded Candidates with very good communication (written and oral) and cooperation skills. The right Candidate must also have good decision making, analytical and problem solving skills. Due to start up circumstances the Candidate will be a very important role model and is expected to participate actively in building the new team and culture. Since the first period will be dominated by project work it will be an advantage if the Candidate has done a startup in a SSC before and has additional experience from other areas within Finance.
