Senior Financial Accountant

- Ensure the provision of accurate and compliant financial and tax reporting services to the company and external authorities on behalf of the MSI legal entity in the region
- Manage escalations from customers, senior stakeholders and external authorities
- Liaise with outside service providers and statutory auditors across the region
- Processing of standard Journal entries
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Review of entity P&Ls and Balance Sheets for countries in the Region
- Produce ad-hoc reports, schedules, and summaries as requested by the Management
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure performance targets related to the R2R process are adhered to both in their own team and the outsource provider
- Review closely the risks to ensure services provided are complaint and risks are managed
- To continually review processes and seek to communicate and implement changes to improve efficiency
- To ensure timely and accurate computation of Direct & Indirect Taxes
- To ensure timely statistical reporting
- To ensure timely submission of all internal compliance (governance certification, international tax reporting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations)
- Redesign and improve existing FOSC processes to increase productivity while maintaining quality and controls.
- Ensure documentation of all processes is in place
- Coordinate processes with other regions to ensure we move towards simple common global processes.
- Work with other team members to identify process improvement opportunities within the FOSC and implement those improvements by working with Finance Systems and Country Finance teams;
- Highlight potential issues to management team's attention;
- Other ad hoc tasks as determined by the GL Manager/Team Lead
:
- Educational requirements: Masters Degree in Economy / Finance/Accounting, knowledge of accepted accounting principles
- Experience in financial reporting and knowledge of auditing practices and principles will be an advantage
- Excellent business and financial acumen
- Strong communicator capable of influencing on all levels across the organization
- Competent at managing multiple stakeholders.
