What would you be responsible for in this role?
- Direct the work with software development and quality assurance teams
- Supervise, mentor and grow Managers, Program Managers, Principal Developers and Principal Testers
- Foster and drive good software quality management practices;
- Work with Product Management team to deliver high-quality, technically sound products on schedule
- Drive all aspects of recruiting including attracting, building and retaining a highly skilled Engineering team
- Effectively collaborate in a fast paced environment with multiple business teams (Engineering Management, Product Management, Sales Engineering, Support etc.)
- Promote good software development and project management practices Communicate project priorities, quality strategy to product line quality teams;
Wymagania
What is needed for this position?
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing and shipping commercial software
- 3+ years in experience on similar role in Development and\or Quality assurance
- Experience with multiple teams leading, mentoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Solid understanding and experience with agile development process (SCRUM) and Software Development Life Cycle
- Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, and intelligent thinking
- Programming experience
- English on advanced level
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of IT technologies (networking, virtualization, systems management, etc.)
- Project management experience
- Willing to travel internationally on occasion
- Prior experience directing an engineering team including a history of developing leadership
- JIRA project management/bug tracking system
