The Senior Accountant position reports to the Global Accounting Manager, and is responsible for all areas relating to the General Ledger. This position will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Senior Accountant will have contact with Senior and Executive-level staff which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close across multiple global entities.

Responsible for calculating and preparing journal entries for various month end expense accruals and deferrals

GL posting and account analyses, journal entries, and account reconciliation

Assist with the preparation of monthly expense forecasts and reconciliation of actual results

Reconciliation of bank statements

Assist with the preparation of cash flow analysis to facilitate management decisions.

Provide other accounting related assistance, as required

Assist with the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities.

Prepare various schedules in support of local tax filings for global entities.

Collaborates with the other finance department members to support overall department goals and objectives.

Coordinate activities with external accounting firms to support audit and tax requirements.

Bachelor or master degree in accounting
-
5 to 7 years prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a professional services, consulting and/or technology firm a plus.

Experience with the consolidation of financials across multiple legal entities/multi-GL both foreign and domestic desired.

Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting.

Experience with MS Dynamics GP, MS Dynamics Management Reporter a strong plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel.
