SCCM Packaging and Deployment Specialist

Description
- Ability to create applications, classic packages, and task sequences within SCCM for new software deployments, updates to existing software, or to remove software, from Windows workstation and servers, following procedures and guidelines.
- Create and manage SCCM Compliance Rules/baselines.
- Work with end users and fellow IT staff on software packaging and deployment needs, following procedures and guidelines.
- Thoroughly evaluate, validate, and execute application packages, classic packages, and task sequences, and ensure that each provide detailed logs.
- Document and provide test evaluation results.
- Create, update, deploy, troubleshoot, and remove objects in the SCCM environment based on provided guidelines.
- Create, update, and delete collections and removal of application reports for installation, modification, and removal of applications.
- Troubleshoot and help remediate sites experiencing SCCM issues.
- Troubleshoot and help remediate Software Center software installation issues.
- Provide a status report before and after updates and remediation actions are executed.
- Create custom test environments to provide proof of concept before implementing into production.
- Create custom .msi and .mst software installs.
- Send notification to customers and groups prior to and after implemented requests or modifications.
- Work with site administrators to troubleshoot package deployments, removals, and modifications as required.
- Tracking deployment status via SCCM reports and proactively monitoring and identifying failures and remediate.
Qualifications
- Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., VBScript, Powershell) for use with packaging/deploying applications.
- Experience with the Flexera Suite (e.g., Admin Studio, InstallShield, Workflow Manager, Application Manager).
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve problems.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and possess time management skills.
- Must be a team player and work independently.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
