SAP Logistics BAU - Team Lead
Responsibilities:


Job Purpose

  • Capita requires a SAP Logistics consultant to support its existing implementation of SAP SRM, MM & PP modules (ECC6.0 & SRM7.0).
  • This is a ‘hands-on’ role but will also include the management of a small team of consultants. There are four facets to the role:
  • Continued support of the business by managing the ‘query queue’ & maintaining an acceptable service level
  • Direct liaison with the business to analyse change requests, define the business requirements & prepare change control documentation
  • Manage changes through the landscape from development through testing to go-live. Producing end-user documentation as required.
  • Ensure the team is efficiently utilised to deliver of the above tasks
  • Krakow based with travel to UK.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Support of SAP MM, PP & SRM (Procurement, Inventory Management, MRP)
  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders at all levels to determine & challenge business requirements
  • Identify gaps/difference to logistics processes/configuration of the existing template
  • Amend SAP/SRM Configuration to deliver the requirements
  • Liaise with other functional teams to ensure delivery of a fully integrated solution
  • Perform/manage Unit and Integration Testing
  • Create Functional Specifications for bespoke reports and interfaces
  • Liaise with the technical teams to ensure bespoke functionality is correctly delivered
  • Create documentation to a high standard
  • Support Go Live activities & transition new processes to the service desk/support team

  • Materials Management Design & Configuration:
  • Organisational Integration
  • Integration with PS, SD, PP & FI
  • Purchase to Pay scenario
  • Procurement process for stock material;
  • Procurement process for consumable materials;
  • Procurement process for external services;
  • Requisitions
  • Purchase Orders
  • MRP
  • Logistic Invoice Verification (including GRIR maintenance)
  • Master data structures and configuration
  • LMSW creation and execution
  • Inventory Management
  • Logistics Information Systems
  • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of a heavily bespoked non-stock procurement system delivered using SRM, ECC & enterprise portal

Project Skills

  • Ability to challenge the business ensuring adherence to templated solutions and minimising change
  • Ability to analyse business requirements
  • Ability to adhere to the prescribed change management processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written & verbal)
  • Ability to document current & proposed business processes
  • Ability to create functional specifications for non-standard functionality
  • Ability to set, and work to, deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to effectively report progress & potential risk to senior management
  • Ability to liaise effectively with other functional teams, technical teams and business customers
  • Ability to lead sub-projects (including internal and external resource management)

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of PP (Production Planning) an advantage
  • Experience of 3rd party Invoice Scanning & Verification software.
  • Understanding of SRM.
  • Ability to understand & debug ABAP code
  • ASAP methodology
  • EHP6 upgrade (from EHP4)
  • SAP BI
  • SAP PI
