Ruby Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Mentor junior engineers
- Acting as a technical representative with external stakeholders on behalf of the team ultimately, play a scrum master role
- Recommending and implementing new technologies, processes and systems to increase efficiencies, productivity and customer engagement
- Working with the leadership team to define the platform roadmap, identify technologies to utilise and integrate, and ultimately deliver on the technical solution
- Providing technical guidance and hands-on experience in software development
- Specify, evaluate and approve design and operationalize
- Maintaining an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology that could impact or influence current and future product development
- Producing clean, capable code based on specifications
- Integrating software services and third-party services
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
- Working as part of a team with other engineers to build and deliver features
- Participate in code reviews, identifying and applying best practices for software development
- Creating technical documentation for reference
- Preparing accurate implementation task lists/time estimates and deliver assignments based on requirements
Requirements:
- Architecture design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of web application background at least for 5 years
- Must be experienced in Ruby
- Functional programming knowledge will be a plus
- Far-reaching knowledge of clean code principles
- Mastery of Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of the best practices around service-oriented architectures or microservices
- Experience with test-driven software design
- Team player attitude
- Team and detail-oriented, productive and solution-oriented attitude
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and ability to work independently and also in a team
- Great English skills (written and spoken)
