Job description:
The Service Delivery Risk Manager position will be part of the team supporting operational risk matters globally for Service Delivery (Custody/Markets/Funds Services) [which is part of the global Investor Services Risk Management organization]. The position will be responsible for the establishment of a risk and control business model which incorporates proactive identification, assessment, monitoring, measurement, and mitigation of operational risks. The Service Delivery Risk Manager will assist the Head of Service Delivery Risk Management - Europe and BBH Krakow Senior Management understanding and responding to operational risk matters in a timely manner. As a risk management subject matter expert, the Service Delivery Risk Manager will also provide analysis and support BBH Krakow in understanding BBH's risk profile locally. Additionally, this position will have Managerial responsibility over other local SD Risk Management staff (2-3 local risk management staff) to ensure that all service delivery products are operating in a controlled manner; including, fund accounting, fund administration, transfer agency and custody operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Service Delivery Division management in understanding the risk profile (including inherent risks) of their business
- Provide advice and actionable recommendations to assist in maintaining a strong operational risk and control structure in BBH Krakow
- Provide support to Service Delivery with respect to control enhancements and process improvements, and participate in integration and implementation of proposed solutions
- Review/Assess new products, services, asset classes, and operating models and their overall impact on the risk profile of BBH Krakow; work closely with Office of the General Counsel, Firm Compliance and other Risk functions to facilitate the continuous enhancement of BBH's risk and control infrastructure
- Review/assess/monitor Service delivery key initiatives including automation projects
- Monitor divisional KPIs, daily standards and risk metrics to proactively identify areas of emerging risk
- Lead/perform targeted risk and control reviews of BBH Krakow processes/workflows
- Monitor/Track corrective action plans, analyze trends and assess root causes re: audit/regulatory findings, risk and control self assessment gaps, and E&Os
- Leverage existing risk management tools, such as the errors and omissions database and risk and control self assessment database to assist in causal analysis of risk matters/incidents
- Work with management/support the new client on-boarding process
- Lead/participate in ad-hoc risk management projects to assist Service Delivery management in identifying and understanding emerging risk areas
- Obtain a working knowledge of the BBH's risk management policies, metrics and tools
- Assist management in development and implementation of risk management policies/procedures locally to ensure proper risk mitigation
- Participate in local Committees/working groups to facilitate enhancement of BBH's overall control environment
- Develop/provide guidance regarding risk and control training for BBH Krakow employees
- Oversee/coordinate responses to regulatory requests
