Transition Management Team is centralised in Krakow as part of IT Operations, Service Transition, Control and Support.

 

RFC and Release Management Senior Expert will be responsible for global support of releases within the UPM Organization.


Main task and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that changes are recorded, evaluated, authorized, prioritized, planned, tested, implemented, documented and  reviewed in a consistent, controlled manner
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB)
  • Manage defined change and release calendar activities (all changes to all the applications and services)
  • Ensure the introduction of new and modified services is planned, controlled and timely
  • Deploy releases into production and hand over new/changed services to live service
  • Participate in process and tools development and implementation
  • Ensure that projects adopt and implement the processes to all new services
  • Integrate activities with Test and Configuration Management
  • Act in accordance to the Release and Control quality, policy and procedures
  • Ability to understand UPM systems landscape and their dependencies
  • Close cooperation with suppliers
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational tasks

Skills and capabilities:

  • Bachelor degree or above in IT related major
  • Very good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Commitment to service

  • Awareness on  ITIL
  • Ability to precisely follow procedure
  • Flexibility with work during the weekend
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines

  • Ability to learn and take ownership and accountability for deliverables and be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and solution
  • Strong process skills combined with the ability to engage with the business
