Requirements:
- Experience of:
- the finance/control function
- the retail derivatives industry
- identifying and driving improvements to pre-existing processes
- University degree – numerate degree an advantage
- Analytical skill
- Use of Microsoft Office products – advanced-level Excel is a must
- Microsoft Access knowledge, VBA (e.g. macros)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Demonstrable numerical / analytical ability
- Clear and professional communication by email, telephone and face-to-face
- interest in the finance/control function and the financial spread betting industry
- Taking ownership and responsibility for tasks given
- Willingness and capacity to learn
- Attention to details
- Ability to work well individually but maintain a collaborative approach within the team (e.g. sharing knowledge, covering others work)
Responsibilities:
There are three Middle Office Control Teams, each focuses on a different control area. The main activities in Revenue Control Team responsibilities are as follows:
- Verifying the daily trading profit produced by Company’s reporting system; using trading and hedging data to allocate a “value to the company” of client trading
- Calculating trade-based payments to third-parties and Company Sales teams
- Verifying and posting corrections for errors on client accounts
- Monitoring unusual activity on client accounts (e.g. deletions, backdated trades, trading on suspended accounts)
- Weekly forecasts on rebates paid to introducing brokers
- Calculate monthly rebates and prepare monthly statements for introducing brokers
- Interact with brokers regarding monthly payments
- Process other revenue related activities (e.g. accounts receivable from GTLDs and white labels)
- Liaise with other teams (Sales, Institutional Support, Accounting Control) in the business
