Research Assistant / Assistant Professor in Department of Quantitative Methods & Information Technology

• conducting classes in accordance with the number of hours assigned to a given position, including conducting classes in English,
• conducting research work in the dimension agreed with the Head of the Department,
• performing administrative tasks in the dimensions determined by the Head of the Department.

For the Research Assistant position:

• higher education - master's degree,
• clear and specified publication and scientific plans – application should include a research plan,
• experience in teaching, including conducting and organizing didactic classes, courses or trainings, etc.,
• experience in conducting research,
• basic knowledge of game design.

For the Assistant Professor position:

• a doctoral degree in economic, social or information technology sciences,
• proven experience in teaching, including conducting and organizing didactic classes, courses or trainings, etc.,
• clear and specified research area towards writing a habilitation thesis,
• experience in writing research applications and participation in the implementation of research projects,
• a documented list of publications in reputable scientific journals,
• proven experience in the area of conducting research using games.

and common requirements for the position of Research Assistant and Assistant Professor:

• readiness to conduct classes in Polish and English with the use of simulation games in the field of management, basics of IT (MsOffice, Basics of Informational Technology),
• knowledge of the python or R programming language is welcome,
• interest of designing decision-making and economic games or gamification,
• confirmed knowledge of statistical analysis and mathematics methods,
• education in the field of: simulation games, basics of computer science, mathematics, statistics will be advantageous,
• documented scientific achievements that indicate research at the international level will be advantageous,
• confirmed knowledge of management and economy issues,
• documented experience in work on research and development projects and cooperation with business are welcome,
• research interests, motivation to conduct scientific work,
• proficiency in using MsOffice, MsTeams,
• knowledge of English at the C1 level, as defined in the European System of Language Education Description, enabling classes in this language,
• knowledge of a second foreign language will be advantageous,
• fluent knowledge of the Polish language, at least at B2 level,
• the ability to create effective on-line communication will be advantageous,
• independent thinking, resistance to stress,
• ability to work in a team, communication skills, personal culture,
• readiness to conduct on-site and online classes,
• availability for stationary work at the headquarters of KU,
• readiness to indicate KU as the first place of work,
• availability (full-time studies are conducted from Monday to Friday, and part-time studies are also conducted on weekends),
• profiles on major social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Researchgate) or readiness to set them up.
