Position purpose
We are looking for accounting/finance or application management specialist who has experience in working within Access environment. This person would be working in a controlling team.
The jobholder maintains the clients application for Finance and other areas of the business. The jobholder successfully delivers support services via timely issue resolutions, escalation, and resolver group liaison on a daily basis. The jobholder is a subject matter expert in MS Access and has practical experience in working with various ERP systems.
Main accountabilities
- Responsibility for data quality and integrity among various client’s systems
- Prepares routine reports and documents out of the system
- Specialist is also expected to act as an expert towards customers advising them about possible reports structure changes/adjustments or enhancements
- Responsibility for ensuring high quality result and compliance with internal guidelines
- Contacts directly with customers, data providers – independently handles incoming/outgoing communication written and verbal
Requirements
At least 2 years working experience in an international accounting and reporting environment, preferably in an insurance company or consulting firm with appropriate background
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or IT
- Good command of English and German are required
Very good knowledge of MS Access (proficient with MS Excel)- Willingness to participate in a transition process
- Practical knowledge of SAP FI/CO will be an asset
- Experience in SQL will be an asset
- Service oriented, able to work under pressure, willingness to develop skills and scope of responsibility
- Flexible in working style and hours (especially around close times)
- Experience in financial reporting
- Good analytical and conceptual skills, good communication and presentation skills
