The Global Centre Finance will deliver high quality services to European countries related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Record to Report processes. Services will be rendered in close collaboration with the GSS Finance Regional Centres, together developing the Global Shared Service Finance function for DNV GL.

Key tasks
- Month end closing of legal entities and internal reporting, including year-end reporting in compliance with company accounting policies and the application of IFRS
- Prepare requested month end analysis to support enquiries from the GSS regional centers
- Preparation of monthly journal entries based on necessary data
- Posting journal entries and accounting corrections/reclassifications to ensure accurate accounting records
- Work closely with other units to ensure accruals are accurate and complete
- Coordinate accounting matters with chief accountants
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Review, reconcile and confirm all intercompany transactions within the DNV GL Group
- Assist with preparation of work papers as required by external auditor
- Deal with daily accounting matters
- Work to complete monthly/quarterly VAT filing
- Undertake ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by management
Position Qualifications
- University degree (Finance, Accounting or other relevant degree)
- Minimum two-three years’ experience of record to report processing
- Demonstrated experience with general ledger account reconciliations including month end closing processes and general knowledge of accounting principles
- Knowledge of Oracle preferred but knowledge of other ERP systems is an asset
- Previous experience with a Shared Services Company/BPO preferred
- Experience in process transition will be an asset
- Very good MS Office skills (Excel)
- Good English skills required, written and verbal
- Additional European language skills will be advantageous
