A Power Electronics team was established in Hitachi Energy Technology Center in Krakow in 2021, and we are looking for you to lead a cross-functional team of highly skilled engineers consisting of Power Electronics, Control Engineers, HW Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. You will grow the team size and contribute to development of new breakthrough modular converter platform based on wide bandgap semiconductors (e.g. SiC) for a range of grid and DC applications. Reporting to Lukas Ramming Technology Manager Valve Development and supported by Daniel Szary Head of Research Center, you will cooperate with global R&D teams, in case of technical questions you will get direct support from Simon Round Corporate Executive Engineer – Power Electronics & Digital. A creative environment allows you to utilize your knowledge and skills in technology and product development to identify and implement innovative solutions for a new Product Platform.
- Lead and develop our R&D team for LV power electronic platforms, consisting of R&D specialists in Power Electronics, Mechanical Design, Electronics and Control.
- Set individual targets in line with business and R&D strategy, ensure regular follow up, and foster performance culture.
- Develop and maintain competency plans in line with business and R&D strategy, agree on hiring plans and be responsible to hire and onboard new team members.
- Foster a strong and collaborative team culture based on mutual trust.
- As an agile leader, support the team in strengthening their self-organization and efficiency, create boundary conditions for optimal performance, and continuously develop and improve the process landscape.
- Enable the team to adapt to a continuously evolving, highly challenging and dynamic business environment, and to perform optimally under these conditions.

- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Previous experience with power electronic converters, power supplies or electronics development processes.
- Proven leadership skills in project or line management roles.
- Hands-on experience in applying agile development methods in a hardware environment is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
