Product QA Engineer is expected to closely cooperate with a product (box/component) team across all releases to enable the team to produce deliverables that meet customer/business needs and expectations, and to continually improve. He/she needs to have a deep understanding of the product team development & test processes and a very good knowledge of the delivered product. Product QA Engineer’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assessing product team’s performance, capability, process gaps and areas requiring improvement
- Closely cooperating with product teams to:
- develop quality goals based on continual improvement,
- prepare and adjust plans to ensure the goals are achievable
- track metrics and measure the progress in achieving the goals
- Providing support for product teams to track performance as well as to identify and manage quality risks based on capability data & metrics
- Assisting product teams to continually improve – provide support to identify lessons learned, develop true preventative actions and track them to completion
- Participating in planned audits and actively following up on findings until closure
The QA Engineer is expected to be proactive, driven, accountable, and closely collaborate with engineering, non-engineering and quality teams in Krakow and other Design Centers around the world to ensure delivery of high quality products.
Required:
- M.Sc. degree in computer science, quality management or similar discipline
- 3+ years of work experience in quality or software development
- Knowledge of software development and/or testing processes and metrics
- Knowledge of quality management systems (like ISO, CMMI, TL9000 etc.)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office type tools and applications
- Good command of oral and written English & Polish
- Strong analytical skills
- Highly collaborative approach (team player)
- Knowledge and practical experience in a quality assurance environment
- Knowledge and experience in applying process improvement models (e.g. Digital Six Sigma, Lean etc.)
- Experience with working in Agile environment
- Change management

- Auditing skills (e.g. ISO Internal Auditor Certification)
