Quality Assurance Egineer

Responsibilites
- Perform functional and regression testing
- Design and execute new test cases
- Execute tests based on provided test cases
- Identify and report defects, follow-up on them through resolutions
- Communicate regularly with the team and provide reports on own test results
- Working with the QA / dev team you will to be responsible for all aspects of incident resolution including impact analysis, root cause identification, effective communication with affected users and escalation to QA management.
Requirements
- Experience in software testing
- Ability to create and execute test cases
- Good understanding of software application development and defect lifecycles
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Very good communication skills (English)
- You must have the ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple, concurrent and conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- You have strong communication skills and must be able to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and establish a solid working relationship with QA and Development teams.
- You have experience of front office investment banking environment and it is desirable that you have experience of Electronic Trading, Trade lifecycle and Market structures.
- You are keen to learn new technologies and build a solid understanding of the business context of the applications.
- You must have a strong focus on ownership of issues and commitment to resolving them, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proven track record of building successful working relationships with managers and peers at all levels of an organisation.
- You must be highly committed.
- Reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy are essential to ensure a courteous and efficient service is provided with tact and patience.
- Good knowledge of UNIX commands
Optional:
- Scripting language experience (Perl, Groovy, Java Script,)
