Hitachi Energy is looking for a Purchasing Process Improvement Specialist for our Campus localization in Łódź. The Purchasing Process Improvement Specialist will be responsible for proposing and coordinating improvements of existing operational purchasing processes within Łódź localization. Standardizing and simplifying processes related to operative purchasing to meet standards of quality. Being a SAP key user for MM-PUR modules.
Your responsibilities
- Mapping purchasing processes to find possibilities of improvement and standardization of existing one.
- Finding possibilities to automate processes by elimination of manual work and reduction of human/system errors.
- Identifying root causes for non-performance and driving improvement initiatives across operational purchasing department.
- Coordinating and implementing improvements
- Collaborating with all team members to have an impact to effective and optimal purchasing processes
- Proposing and focusing on Cost Out/Optimisation projects.
- Performing the role of an expert in the area of the purchasing process.
- Supporting local implementation of purchasing technology solutions.
- Defining new and optimize existing KPI’s.
- Providing SAP support to the members of Centralized Purchasing Department if needed.
- Being SAP key user for MM-PUR modules.
- When required cooperating with IS team in case of process improvements’ implementation.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, purchasing or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of operational experience in process improvement area.
- Experience in purchasing process would be an asset.
- Project management skills.
- Flexibility, demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- SAP MM-PUR module advanced knowledge.
- Excellent skills in Excel (SAP scripting, macro creation knowledge).
- Can-do attitude – be confident and willing to deal with problems or new tasks.
- Good knowledge of the English.
- Ability to work under time pressure.
