The Proposal Writer will develop answers to prospect requests for proposals, work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategy and proposal content, and distribute proposal submissions. You will need to rely on strong editing skills to ensure the highest quality proposals to help HireRight win new business. This team member reports to the Manager of Proposals.
To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter and willing to take personal responsibility to learn our business. You must also be highly results oriented and have solid organizational and communication skills. You must be willing and able to work across all divisions of the company to get answers, commitments and generally ensure comprehensive proposals.
- Develop responses to target customer requests for proposals

Education
- High School diploma
- Bachelor’s degree; Degree in Journalism or English is a plus
Skills
- Entry level for less complex professional roles not requiring a specific degree.
- Has developed knowledge of an extensive body of technical, support or administrative policies and procedures.
- Requires extensive training and experience to perform a wide variety of interrelated, multi-skilled or standard procedural assignments and resolve a wide range of moderately complex issues.
- Accomplished in implementing practical procedures or systems, which are moderately complex and require extended skill in order to ensure proper completion.
- Basic understanding of the roles of various functional groups within own area.
Experience
- Excellent English – oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum two or more years’ experience in business or copywriting.
- Demonstrated record of success in written communication.
- Experience working in a cross functional environment.
- Resourcefulness and creativity.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers and internal divisions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and work under pressure.
- Ability to work 2 shifts weekly: 3 days/week 15-23, 2 days/week 9-17.
