- Degree in the field of Finance/ Accounting

This position has primary responsibility for ensuring projects are managed in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) requirements, and company policies and procedures. The incumbent has basic knowledge of concepts, principles, and theories in a subject area or discipline. He/she has a general understanding of the role of the team/ department, and industry practice and standards. This role makes decisions within scope of work instructions and impacts own area through work product.
- Follows detailed instructions and with discretion as to work details, performs accounting tasks of a difficult nature requiring an experienced, professional knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Review contract terms and associated information; ensure project setup generates appropriate results
- Interprets accounting data, analyzes reports and recommends action to be taken
- Help identify and monitor project revenue/cost variances
- Reconcile accounts and related information
- Issue/review client invoices to ensure they are in accordance with the contract terms
- Provide month end reporting on Project Performance
- Prepares routine journal entries, maintains complex ledgers, reconciles and analyzes specific cost or project account ledgers
- Monitors project investment accounts including A/R, WIP, BIE and gross margin
- Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness, and accuracy of project data including but not limited to accruals, revenue and cost budgets, EAC updates, invoicing and project costs
- Contact other departments or outside vendors, suppliers, or clients to resolve questions or problems

- Ad hoc reporting as needed
