Avid is seeking an energetic and detail oriented project coordinator to join the Technology Operations team. This is an integral position to support the operational portfolio for the Technology group. With the support of a Technology Operations program manager, this position will be responsible for managing and coordinating phases of 3+ month projects or leading shorter projects. The individual must also be comfortable in being involved in the day to day of technology operations, including creating and maintaining operational reports, suggesting process changes to improve operational efficiency and compiling operational data. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, intellectually curious and thrives by learning new skills.
- Support the technology operations team by maintaining team collaboration sites and processes
- Own status of project activities and push activities to completion to ensure project progress
- Communicate status of operational projects and activities on an agreed upon cadence
- Create reports, dashboards and publications of operational metrics for review by senior management and technology operations team
- Collaborate on project planning and monitor project progress to plan
- Support special projects, such as marketing and communication efforts, training and company events
- Comfortable with Office 365 platform or adapts quickly to new technologies
- Strong Excel and analytics skills required
- Strong and clear communication skills, able to communicate complex details in a simple manner
- Very familiar with Agile software development and project management methodology
- Detail and schedule oriented, operates and executives on project activities without reminders and little oversight
- Handles change with grace and motivated by a fast-pace requirement
- Maintains professional ethics to support confidential initiatives and handle confidential information
- Comfortable working with various aspects of technology operations: software, architecture, hardware, supply chain and IT, may interact with other cross-functional groups as needed
EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of experience in managing projects, supporting project managers or the project management office or serving in a business analyst role.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Comfortable using Office 365 tools, such as Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Office suite. Jira and SalesForce knowledge and experience a plus.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Communications, Project Management, Computer Science or related.
OTHER: This position may require intermittent flexible hours, as the operations and project stakeholders are spread geographically and across time zones.
