Your team:
Procurement Services Center (PSC) based in Łódź, Poland, is part of global Philips Lighting Procurement. Under the umbrella of Philips Lighting, Philips Procurement manages and performs sourcing and procurement activities for (indirect) goods and services for Philips Lighting.
PSSC acts on behalf of the Philips businesses, handling every step in the purchasing process – from demand analysis to final delivery. PSSC delivers value added services by leveraging economies of scale, globalizing processes and simplifying the ways of working, while delivering superior purchasing experiences by listening and acting on our customers’ feedback.
Your challenge:
- Tactical & operational sourcing activities for Lighting IMS Industrial & Real Estate (IRE) for the regions Americas and parts of Europe
- Acting as a liaison between global procurement team and Philips production sites in the Americas managing internal and external communication and policy compliance.
- Implementing strategies and performing end to end purchasing cycle demand, face to face contact with suppliers for respective sites in the Americas.
Your key responsibilities:
- Managing relationship with the customers and stakeholders proactively, leading communication related to service in scope also outside the team
- Reporting directly to Category Cluster Leader, monitoring performance, quality of the process and initiate improvements related to the area of responsibility
- Dealing with service scope changes / amendments
- Participating actively in projects within and outside PSSC scope
- Providing insightful reports, analysis and recommendations within given procurement scope
- Orders and new suppliers creation requests processing in the system
- Participating actively and supporting definition and deployment of the Category Strategy
- Participating in and leading procurement projects (e.g. tenders preparation and execution, e-Sourcing projects, providing content analysis, RFQ & RFI preparation, analyzing supplier proposals, negotiating and closing contracts). Acting as member of and supporting the Procurement clusters keeping relations with suppliers and stakeholders, providing tactical and operational support like supplier’s analysis
- Participating in the development & deployment of the overall Philips Purchasing policy and ‘one page’ strategy throughout the respective Industrial commodities
- Implementing contracts that provide sourcing solutions at the lowest total cost, in cooperation with customers and internal clients on sites on global/national/regional commodity level
- Contract preparation and maintenance; providing recommendations
We are looking for people with:
- Graduate with Bachelor or master degree
- Fluent English is a must (both orally and in writing)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within Procurement or/and Industry area
- Procurement experience and expertise in Industrial area and market knowledge will be an advantage
- Ability to inspire commitment, arrange, communicate and influence virtually

- Developed analytical thinking skills with an eye for detail
- Computer literacy essential and experience in MS office applications (excellent command of MS Excel is a must)
