Your role:
Currently for Philips Lighting Electronics factory in Pila we are looking for suitable candidates for Procurement Engineer role who will act as procurement ‘linking pin’ with R&D, Marketing, Quality and Supply Chain Management.
Philips Lighting Electronics in Pila is producing top quality electronic control systems suitable for a wide range of light sources.
Your responsibilities will include:

Being a procurement linking pin in Philips Lighting Electronics factory in Pila

Being a project team member in new product development projects responsible for procurement engineering scope e.g.
material cost estimations, target costing, initiating actions to reach cost targets, early supplier involvement (negotiating tooling price, ordering tools and component samples) etc. -
Driving and executing cost down projects
-
Driving concept savings in new product developments in close cooperation with R&D, Marketing, Quality and Supply Chain Management

Active participation in value engineering projects and workshops

Implementing actions defined during value engineering workshops
-
Controlling and mitigating procurement engineering related risks: price, quality, availability

Driving supplier selection together with Commodity Teams
-
Managing suppliers, components and materials in line with commodity strategy
-
Support and participation in price negotiations with suppliers
-
Support and engagement in procurement engineering process improvements
We are looking for a person who fits the following requirements:
-
Graduate with Bachelor or master degree, preferably: Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering

Fluent English (both orally and in writing) is a must
-
Working experience in Engineering and / or Development environment
-
1-5 years of experience in a high volume assembly-type industry in supply chain related functions or related financial controlling functions

Possesses the expertise to carry out cost engineering activities to support design decision making and price negotiations

Understanding the basic principles of Executing Cost Down projects

Understanding the basic principles of Value Engineering

Understanding the basic principles of the materials / goods flow
-
Able to read and understand technical documentation e.g. mechanical parts

Experience in the area of purchasing would be an advantage

Very well developed communication and negotiating skills
