Your role:
Currently for 2 factories in Piła: Philips Lighting Electronics and Philips Lighting Poland – Lamps we are looking for suitable individuals to join at the position of Procurement Engineer, who will act as a ‘linking pin’ between Supply Chain Management and Development and Engineering.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordination and control of Procurement Engineering (PE) activities and processes for the chosen group of suppliers, materials, components, and new product introductions
- Managing the suppliers and components and materials within the PE responsibility
- Pricing and invoicing management if necessary
- Managing other projects e.g. new supplier and new components introductions, support in Green & Black Belt Projects
- Defining, implementation and maintenance of standard PE processes
- Acting as ‘linking pin’ between Supply Chain Management and Development and Engineering
- Active participation in value engineering projects and workshops
- Active participation in improvement initiatives towards suppliers as well as Philips Lighting Electronics processes
- Executes procurement strategy, supports phase-in/phase-out of suppliers
- Represents Procurement in new Product Introduction projects
- Managing suppliers relations
We are looking for a person who fits the following requirements:
- Graduate with Bachelor or master degree, preferably: Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Fluent English (both orally and in writing) is a must
- Minimum 3 years working experience in Engineering and / or Development department
- 1-5 years of experience in a high volume assembly-type industry in supply chain related functions or related financial controlling functions
- Possesses the expertise to carry out cost engineering activities to support design decision making and price negotiations
- Understanding the basic principles of Executing Cost Down projects
- Understanding the basic principles of Value Engineering (L1)
- Understanding the basic principles of the materials / goods flow
- Able to read and understand blue prints and other engineering documentation
- Experience in the area of purchasing would be an advantage
- Very well developed communication and negotiating skills
- Computer skills: MS Office advanced
- Analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions
