Accountabilities
- Manages multiple procurement processes and technologies to support the strategic sourcing cycle
- Recommends and implements new streamlined techniques and processes to improve productivity and efficiency
- Resolves broad and complex procurement processes and systems
- Serves an expert in providing guidance to procurement colleagues on the use of procurement systems
- Implement simple and clear metrics for governance and success measurement, and performance manage of achievement
- Incorporate and embed the use of procurement technology into all appropriate supply chain activities
- Leads on procurement projects to drive continuous improvement for the group as delegated by the Procurement Lead
- Teaches procurement processes to as required
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Business and financial acumen
- Degree and/or the ability to demonstrate knowledge of working in an international procurement environment
- Ability to write clear, concise management reports and presentations
- Ability to influence, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and break down barriers that get in way of effective team working.
- Ability to prioritise and maintain clear focus in constant ambiguity and change
- Ability to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines and finite resource and uncertainty.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Commitment to service excellence and process improvement
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of the languages of the countries of our operating companies is an asset: working knowledge of Spanish is particularly important
- Experience using e-technology in all aspects of the supply chain
- Demonstrated experience in a procurement buying role or the mind-set required to effectively procure products and services
- Able to identify opportunities where e-procurement systems can be developed to improve efficiencies of supply chain activities
- Up to date with current e-procurement best practice
