We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Lead to join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) team in Digital as a Channel Enablement (DaaCE), which supports the global digital agenda to deliver personal and relevant customer experiences by delivering projects of a variety of sizes.
Your principal accountability is to manage the Programme Management Office in carrying out project monitoring, governance and reporting activities.
What you will be doing:
- Providing Executive Level Reporting to fulfil stakeholder requirements on progress against key criteria such as cost, schedule, risks, issues and benefits
- Supporting the Head of Delivery and Delivery Leads with putting together investment asks, justifications and getting them through approval processes
- Facilitating key portfolio planning activities, such as Order Book processes providing process support, reporting and reconciliation to Delivery Leads.
- Proactively highlighting and, where appropriate, escalating key delivery risks and issues to senior management, along with providing an independent view of delivery health
- Management and monitoring of project governance arrangements
- Oversee the management of project documentation, process documents and information sources
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Working with Delivery
- Managers on the delivery plan, including setting up of approved project information, budgets, resources and deliverablesWorking closely with the Digital Office team and ensuring consistency in application of PMO standards
- Provides expertise and best practice on agile practices, shares knowledge, lessons learned, templates, and advice on tools such as Jira, Confluence. DevOps practices, asset capitalisation guidance.
- Undertakes Quality assurance checks throughout the technology project lifecycle and benefits realisation.
- Contributes to the wider technology practice – shares insights from quality assurance and lessons learnt as to where the group lacks consistency
What you will bring to the role:
To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:
- Demonstrable experience as part of a PMO team, in governing portfolios of complex transformation programs
- Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) as well as other technology program delivery methodologies in conjunction with JIRA and Confluence
- Ability to effectively assess and mitigate program risks and dependencies
- Tracking statuses of project deliverables and milestones
- Coordination of the regular project and programme level reporting
- Co-ordination of project governance arrangements
- Experience of managing and report on budgetary expenditure
- Drive the implementation of project standards across projects
- Managing and updating project documentation, process documents and information sources
- Experience of formulating resourcing strategies
- Team player with strong communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and team members
- Experience of facilitating and leading workshops and working groups
