As part of Jacobs’ Finance team, you’ll join a group of strategic-focused professionals who support projects worldwide. As a Oracle GL Functional Analyst, you’ll be the functional owner and gatekeeper for business process architecture and functional change management to our Oracle ERP financial systems, in close collaboration with our IT ERP functions.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and act as the point of contact for a diverse group of ERP financial business stakeholders
- Apply your sound understanding of best practice financial system accounting control structures and inherent integration of systems and processes of best practice ERP platforms to enable effective communications across all business levels in the organization
- Maintain projects in Oracle, review contract terms, issue and review client invoices, perform monthly reconciliations of billed/unbilled vs. revenue, and regularly analyze and verify accuracy of project data
- Participate in internal and external audits, prepare rate adjustments on provisional billing rates, and perform detailed GL analysis to prepare final invoices for assigned projects
- Provide production support of activities and Global ERP users for proper direction or escalation for corrections or enhancements
- Determine root cause of user issues and provide a solution and a path to prevention
- Acting as an agent on behalf of the Finance users of the ERP and connected applications, work with IT to deliver fixes and system improvements including beginning to end processes, testing and implementation
- Support ERP integration and GL applications activities including requirements gathering, end to end testing, transactional data conversion, reconciliation of conversion activities, support, and hyper care
- Manage the risk and impact of any changes along with coordinating the timing to minimize disruption.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information systems with equivalent finance experience
- Professional accounting experience with working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle GL and related Oracle reporting modules)
- Familiarity with the government contract compliance regulations found in the FAR, CAS
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability and willingness to work late hours, especially during month end and quarter end close, to allow successful cooperation with US time zone based teams and stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in global Oracle project accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as timekeeping and labor cost distribution functional process modules is a plus
- Experience developing, testing, and deploying reports.
