Join our Operations team as an Operations Supervisor
DUTIES:
- Directs the activities of, and has responsibility for, subordinates in direct production and indirect support functions in an electrical manufacturing environment (electronics controllers)
- Implements and supervises scheduled production plans and capacity plans
- Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining departmental and individual goals & performance measures
- Aligns individual and team/departmental goals to support overall organizational goals
- Coordinates work load requirements and work scheduling with teams (target – up to 60 members team)
- Develops, reviews and maintains staffing requirements
- Responsible for annual performance evaluations and discipline
- Collaborates with process engineers to evaluate current work tools, processes, tooling/equipment and operational concepts
- Lead Kaizens and continuous improvement activities on the production area
- Identify and provide resources for members development and training
- Identifies training needs related to safety, quality, new technologies and application tools
- Motivates individuals and work groups through rewards and recognition
- Reporting to the local Operations Manager
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- University degree
- Experience in electrical / electronic manufacturing will be a plus
- 2 – 3 years experience in manufacturing environment preferably in supervisory position
- Fluent English language skills
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
- Solid knowledge of business computer systems and PC tools
- Ability to quickly learn processes, equipment and tools used in specific areas of responsibility
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports / presentations of ongoing manufacturing processes
- Solid communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize day-to-day activities and issues within functional area
- Ability to delegate as necessary to meet objectives
- Solid problem solving skills
