This is your opportunity to become a member of our Network Team, part of Capgemini Data Services. A mixture of talented and experienced engineers providing support to multiple clients and supporting both: projects and daily operations.
Working along with experienced technicians your skills will help us to rollout complex network projects and assist with challenging day to day tasks. You will focus on Data Center environments where high availability of services will be a key focus.
As our projects and activates circle around data center related technologies you will get a chance to work with multi-vendor environment and a wide variety of technologies, such us: data center switching technologies, routing, firewalling, fw automation, loadbalancing, setting up and maintaining VPN connectivity, and many others.
- +6 years of experience with networking and security technologies (professional level practical knowledge covering routing, switching and firewalling);
- Strong drive to learn new technologies;
- Experience with network security technologies including firewalling, IPSec, remote vpn access, SSL;
- Perfect understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 high availability protocols and standards is a must (including HSRP, FW/LB clustering, Nexus VPC);
- Ability to work independently and providing your work on time when working unsupervised;
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills (communicating with the team, as well as with the client and its 3rd parties);
- English (B2 level);
- Network certification on a professional level (vendor specific).
It's not essential, but we appreciate if you also have:
- Essential knowledge of Linux operating systems;
- ITIL process awareness (ITIL Foundation is a plus);
- Degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Telecommunication or a related field).
You are going to be responsible for:
- Assisting with project preparation activities including project scope clarification, developing project plan and estimating efforts;
- Driving project implementation from the network side;
- Adherence to existing processes and procedures;
- Providing clear documentation;
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, focusing mainly on data center environments;
- Administration and maintenance of existing network infrastructure.
