In January 2015 we opened Global Competence Center in Gdansk. The Center consists of teams responsible for driving major IT and User Experience enhancements for whole European organization, with other teams like Supply Chain, Financial Analysis & Master Data Management also establishing their operations in Gdansk.
This position reports to the Head of Manager Data Governance. The Master Data Steward ensures the Master Data is understood, used and shared effectively, meeting quality and integrity standards, preventing Master Data errors from occurring which would affect EU business processes. He/she is guarding and mastering all operational Master Data Management processes, operates cross domain, overseeing dependencies. The Master Data Steward enforces Master Data Policies, and submits needed Master Data process change requests on behalf of the Master Data Operators.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Actively gets involved with Data entry operators across all EU business units
- Implements and maintain Data Standards and processes
- Implements Data Quality and Master Data Governance metrics
- Focuses on prevention of Data entry errors, Solves Master Data issues
- Guards EU business processes from errors caused by wrongful data entry
- Conducts root cause analysis for Master Data related issues
- Conducts impact analysis
- Maintain and safeguard documentation on procedures and standards
- Advocate for effective application and usage of Master Data
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Actively champions and participates in Master Data Management projects and initiatives
- Passion for Master Data Quality and Data Management
- Broad understanding of Master Data, Master data flows and processes
- Able to establish credibility across business and IT, in a multicultural and multilingual European environment
- Able to translate Business Requirements into Data Solutions
- Able to gain involvement and participation on Master Data Management projects

- Willing and able to travel within Europe, at least 60% of time
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor degree is required
- Experience with Master Data Management
- Experience with Service Request tools
- Highly Proficient in MS Office
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- Experience with SAP MDG is a plus
- Background in Retail Industry is a plus
- General Business Domains Understanding (Marketing, Finance, Sourcing, Merchandizing, Supply Chain) knowledge is a plus
