The purpose of the role is to create and lead the Master Data Management team as part of the GBS organization. This position will be responsible for implementing effective data management practices to ensure the completeness, consistency and quality of master data related to suppliers, materials, employees, and customers. The MDM SDD will lead the team based in Warsaw and Manila that will be dedicated to maintaining the integrity of critical data, supporting business processes, and enabling strategic decision-making.
- Lead the efficient and effective services delivery to GBS's business partners in the areas of Master Data Management (including master data related to suppliers, materials, employees, and customers). Develop and implement comprehensive master data management policies and procedures in line with corporate requirements and data protection regulations. Create the service catalog for master data management and the implementation roadmap.
- Lead the master data management governance process to ensure data quality and consistency across the enterprise. Set clear goals, analyze / interpret KPIs in line with global objectives, ensure corrective actions are promptly implemented when required. Establish/foster close contact with the business to ensure SLAs are properly driven.
- Manage the master data lifecycle, including creation, updates, deletion, and archiving. Oversee the resolution of data quality issues through data cleansing, de-duplication, and other corrective actions. Monitor industry trends and advancements in master data management to keep the organization at the forefront of data services & governance.
- Build strong working relationships with data owners, partners (Markets/Factories) / Indirect procurements team (Procurement Competency Center / Regional Procurement Leads) & IT BTS to define and enforce data standards and best practices. Ensure the MDM expands its credibility in the wider JTI Community by collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects that rely on master data. Play an active role in the local GBS management team, facilitating cross department alignment and strong team cohesion.
- Drive and supervise continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance data management processes and system via close cooperation with standardization, harmonization and automation teams. Leverage the use of systems and technology to ensure optimization of process automation. Contribute to the strategic evolution of the oneGBS in cooperation with global counterparts and local leadership team to deliver long term strategic vision. Ensure global improvement initiatives such as process harmonization, enhancements, procedural changes, project prioritization and allocation of resources are implemented & managed in a consistent manner across the organization.
- Provide leadership and direction to the master data management team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics. In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, lead the creation of the MDM organization including review of the current teams that are involved in MDM. Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent. Develop a team of high quality and engaged members with a strong sense of customer service to ensure the delivery of highest standard to the organization in a fast moving environment. Develop a robust succession planning and talent pipeline.

- University Degree (Finance or Business).
- Large experience in a multinational company including managerial experience in a shared service center.
- Solid business understanding and commercial skill. In depth experience of end to end processes in the area of Master Data management.
- Strong command of English Language (oral and written). Knowledge of languages of the markets in scope preferred.
