Responsibilites
The role is for a Management Support Officer to support the management of one or more projects at the program level.
Main duties are to perform one or more of the following activities
- Support for financials tracking
- Manage resources allocation to projects for resource managers
- Coordinating with PM's on supplier allocations
- Collecting department achievements
- Managing department compliance - timesheet and mandatory training
- Compiling of risks, issues and dependencies for PCIT projects
- Managing department Sharepoint
- Facilitate communication between IT Project Managers, r and Resource Managers
- Support Line Manager in administrative work
Communication:
- Maintenance of monthly project update spreadsheets, dashboards and management "decks"
- Maintenance and review of budget figures in OnePPM
- Regular communication with offshore project managers
Requirements
Must have:
- Educated to degree standard, preferably in a numerate subject OR Relevant IT / Business Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player fostering a collaborative and cooperative approach to project delivery
- Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to have:
- Project Management experience
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Computer Science or Software Engineering BSc 2ii or higher
- Presentation skills
- Facilitation skills
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMI or Prince 2
- Full life cycle experience, using a structured development methodology
- Experience of working in an Investment Bank
We offer
The role is primarily to assist individual resource managers and the N-4 executive in the management of the project or programs through the tracking of financials, project milestones, changes, risks, issues and dependencies.
Several interconnected and interdependent projects / programs that impact the PC Processes application suite and run together in testing. -
- Roll out the target state PC business process and technology suite.
- Verify the firm's trading related Profit & Loss and ensure it is complete, accurate and explainable.
- Perform controls to minimise the risk of unauthorised and rogue trading.
- Verify the prices used to value the firm's trades and positions and ensure accurate to the market.
- Verify the bank's trading related balance sheet is accurate in the firms General Ledger (GL) accounts.
- Perform disclosures reporting to regulators (e.g. ensuring that positions held on our books are transparent as to the reliability of their fair value and support other regulatory items such as Dodd Frank and Basel 3).
- Align to the bank's strategic investment, capital, restructuring and efficiency initiatives
