Are you a seasoned localization expert who wants to start working on designing and building localization tools? Ready to make the move from a user of technology to an owner of technology? You’ll need to think big and be detail-oriented (yes, both at the same time), as you’ll be asked to work on a set of of products, supporting a global team of product managers and interfacing directly with operations and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for this job has extensive localization expertise as a localization engineer, project manager, linguist, or similar role. She or he must be familiar with localization workflows and how technology and automation intersect with quality needs and customer requirements. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to make the jump from being a “user” to being an “owner” of the tools and processes that we use to delight our customers!

- Contribute to the product strategy and visions for a set of Lionbridge products
- Help create the business case, project scope, business requirements, and user experience for new products and enhancements to existing products.
- Engage with ops and other users on product needs and improvements
- Become a product expert by analyzing competitors, industry standards, emerging trends, customer feedback, and product/website metrics.
- Scrutinize product performance and operations profitability to provide recommendations for product and bottom line improvements.
- Collaborate with marketing to conduct research, usability, and the communication strategy for new products and enhancements.
- Act in the role of Agile Scrum product backlog owner by helping to build a roadmap and setting priorities for the development team. Communicate the status of projects & teams under your responsibility.
- Author business requirements and define the acceptance criteria for prioritized projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and impacts to the organization of prioritized projects.
- Conduct user acceptance testing and provide final approval on requirement delivery and project completion.
- Track and analyze defects in area of product ownership. Work to prioritize defects into maintenance or emergency support teams.
- Liaison between engineering team and business to ensure product specifications and deadlines are being met
- Engage with existing customers, both internal and external, to gather requirements and customer feedback
