About the project
As Local Product Owner you will be in charge to plan future development work of an engineers. Your daily duties will include: task planning for every team member, support the team in requirement clarification, following up implementation and internal testing progress in order to fulfil all Definition of Done criteria, reporting progress to Line Managers and Program Managers.
It is also up to Local Product Owner to balance team efforts among all parallel feature requests and integration related tasks to maximize team throughput and optimize deliveries’ schedule according to business needs. You will work directly with software development, specification and verification teams, Project and Program Managers.
Local Product Owner is mainly responsible for:
- Backlog management for development team(s) in close cooperation with project managers and other product owners
- Leading Scrum ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily meeting, retrospective etc.
- Committing sprint content towards Area Product Owner on behalf of the development team
- Executing department Feature Development Process (Agile iterative process based on Scrum framework and Lean principles and practices); Monitoring process KPIs
- Supervising the progress of current sprint and taking actions when needed; ensuring timely realization of sprint content and high level of product quality
- Assuring capacity allocation for maintenance in close cooperation with fault coordinators and project managers
- Building team’s Way of Working
- Providing directions and support for team members in the areas of processes and operations
- Contributing to evolution of internal processes; Constantly increasing efficiency of software development
- Proposing and leading internal improvement projects and initiatives; performing business analysis, managing tradeoffs, risks, problems etc. and making decisions within the limits of authority
Requirements:
- Good understanding of Agile software development
- Very good knowledge of Scrum framework
- Proven experience in programming and/or software testing
- Experience in estimation and task planning
- Understating of project management aspects
- Leadership and problem solving skills
- Ability to influence without authority
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to details
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Bonus points:
- Basic project management experience
- Understanding of Kanban, Continuous Integration and Lean Software Development
- Certificate proving Scrum skills and knowledge
- Experience in team leading
- Knowledge of quality tools and techniques
