Learning Design and Innovation Team Scope: The team has the overall accountability for the identification and design of MSI learning technology including format of learning assets and delivery systems. The members of the team possess a deep understanding of the internal and external environmental factors, market trends, and user needs, which is key to creating learning offerings that exceed the expectations of audiences. This goal is achieved by a continuous process of analyzing the context in which the business is operating, identifying strategic options, and evaluating and selecting the best of them. The scope also includes an end-to-end evaluation and design of production workflow with the focus on tools, generation of business performance metrics, and design of high-level operational processes.

Learning Content Creation Lead

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
● Writes easyDITA / Oxygen plugins, add-ons, reports, integrations, API calls, etc.
● Develops and maintains DITA OT stylesheets or executes other XML transformations
● Serves as a coach or mentor for other Learning organization employees and has the responsibility for change management of technology migration, product or tools implementation by engaging relevant resources
● Supports content developers with technical writing processes, standards and tools. Understands the challenges of the content development team and recommends improvements which positively impact efficiency, cycle time and quality
● Collaborates closely and shares knowledge with peers to investigate, recommend and / or implement changes to the Learning organization business model and overall strategy
● Develops and maintains knowledge regarding trends and best practices for learning solutions in the industry
● Identifies technology or product synergies between the Learning organization and the rest of MSI
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
● Knowledge of documentation and learning industry standards and practices
● Experience with a broad range of content creation environments, including DITA, CMSes, LMSes, Captivate, DocBook, MarkDown, XML, XSL, etc.
● Ability to develop and maintain DITA OT stylesheets or execute other XML transformations
● Experience writing applications' plugins, add-ons, reports, integrations, API calls, etc.
● Ability to support system users effectively by prioritizing requests and engaging external parties in the resolution process
● Experience establishing or implementing content strategy for documentation and/or training
● Excellent communication skills in EnglishFulfilling the following requirements will be advantageous:
● Experience managing any major CMS
● Experience managing vendor relations
● Knowledge of learning industry standards and practices
