Lean Manager
Job location: Katowice
YOUR ROLE

As the LEAN Manager you will lead the LEAN Teams based on our sites.  You will define and manage further growth of the LEAN organization, motivate and develop your Team.  You will define the focus of the Lean Activities for the country in accordance with the CEVA strategy and operational needs. You will ensure achievement of agreed LEAN targets on time and in full.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

You will be responsible to define and take appropriate actions to achieve company objectives linked to LEAN activities:

  • Increase of the profitability by improvement activities
  • Increase of Service Levels towards our customers
  • Facilitation of the “Lean Culture”
  • Deployment of Operational Standards and Innovative Solutions
You have a wide experience in warehousing processes – from the engineering / LEAN as well as from the operational perspective. You have experience in management of remote teams. You understand the commercial contract logistics business model and have first experience with customer contacts and P&L. 
 
You will ensure that your team will maintain a wide knowledge about the processes in respective warehouses, contractual service levels and expectation of internal and external customers.
 
You will moderate definition of short- and midterm improvement programs and align those programs with management and external customers. Linked to planned scope, you will decide about resizing or reshaping of the team structure and trigger appropriate upscaling / upskilling actions.
 
You will act as an agent between the LEAN Team and the Operations Management to ensure the success of the LEAN projects and programs. 
 
Being the expert for Business Analytics you will support deployment of KPI systems, planning and reporting tools. Together with the warehouse management you will continuously analyse the business situation in the structured way and support business decisions by solid analytical foundation. 
 
You will have the knowledge about all applicable global CEVA standards and programs. You will be responsible to coordinate their implementation within your warehouse locations.   
 
As the LEAN Manager you will be the focal point for the CEVA management as well as for the key customers regarding strategies concerning operational improvements, innovative solutions and applied digital tools.
 
You will have the possibility to obtain an extraordinary experience in one of the most versatile departments of our organization. This expertise will support your further carrier within the international LEAN organization by successive extension of your geographical and functional scope.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • You bring a bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Management or similar) with strong link to process management.
  • You have already at least 7 years of warehousing experience – in operational management, project management or process engineering.
  • You can combine the data driven analytical way of work with “hands on” interactions on the shop floor.
  • You have experience in management of remote specialist teams - combining team management and coaching.
  • You like to access the challenges and detect solutions in analytical way using facts and figures. You have experience in analysing of warehousing service contracts as well as profit and loss statements. You already experienced a P&L responsibility. 
  • You have excellent communications skills which allow you to work with the operational teams on the shop floor but also to convince higher management and external clients. Ability to communicate in English is a must.
  • You are an excellent team player with the ability to lead efficiently different types of teams – including virtual and international.
  • You have already a deep experience with warehousing processes and LEAN methods which you continuously extend by obtaining new knowledge in the independent and target oriented way. You can train others.
