Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology).
Your unit’s main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services
As part of our team, you will contribute to our 5G telecommunication projects. Your daily activities will be related to BTS L1 requirements management according to our process: creation, review, 3GPP conformance and verification.
What you will learn and contribute to
We’re looking for technical experts for L1 specification team, where you will be working in system, digital hardware and software topics. You’ll get to work with features concerning eCPRI and ORAN fronthaul interfaces for LTE and 5G networks.
Daily activities:
- Creating L1 Specifications and/or Architecture for RF/Baseband and massive MIMO processing in 7-2 and 7-3 Architecture split
- Partitioning and dimensioning of 5G physical layer processing, including collecting requirements, use cases, defining interfaces, analyzing options for hardware/software split
- Taking ownership or contributing to the Feasibility Studies, System and Entity level specification tasks, as an author or co-author
- Supporting investigation and troubleshooting of the problems during feature integration
- You will develop knowledge of 5G system physical layer, gain experience in real commercial product development. You will contribute to develop innovative solutions to address Nokia strategy in the 5G domain
- You will have a chance to develop your interpersonal skills and capability to work in international multi-site environment as you will need to cooperate daily with coworkers located all over the world
Your skills and experience
Must have:
- On the job experience in product system engineering, development, system test or network engineering. For senior positions we prefer min. 5 years of experience.
- Good understanding of the SoC (ASIC/FPGA/DSP) or Low-level SW design flow and process
- Pro-activity and independent problem solving through own experience and network
- Experience with requirements engineering on system and network element level
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Nice to have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of 5G BTS and/or LTE BTS product architecture
- Good knowledge within mobile network technologies, radio system architecture, functions and standards
- Experience in 3GPP L1 standardization documentation, processes and forums
- General understanding of programmable processing architectures
- Understanding of hard real time operating systems
- Skills in any modern programming language (for example embedded C)
- Master of science in telecommunication, computer science or equivalent area preferred
