The Key Account Manager role is an exciting opportunity to shape the Brand future. The role has the ultimate end responsibility for achieving all the Key Strategic Account goals. The Key Account Manager is the account lead and ultimately responsible to ensure all opportunities in the area of sales, marketing, product and operations are heard and quantified.
Strategy
- Develop and build strong Strategic Partnerships.
- Build the position on The North Face in the stores of Key Customers according to Brand Strategy.
- Ensure in-depth Market Knowledge and Analysis, in order to establish pricing strategy and quantify the key opportunities for growth.
- Drive the in-store Brand presence, to ensure excellent Brand Consumer Awareness and Connection.
- Regular monitoring of outdoor goods market, pay special attention to our Competitors.
Revenue
- Drive the business, implement and nurture Profitability, in line with key metrics and Brand Guidelines.
- Lead in development and implementation of account specific Sales & Marketing plans.
- Plan, control and execute activities to hit the required Sales Targets and the desired profit margins.
Process & distribution
- Drive the seasonal selling process.
- Establish and maintain close contact with the management and all key decision makers or influencers within the Account.
- Drive the Assortment Planning and Segmentation Process within the defined Distribution Policy with the account, to ensure.
Market Differentiation, in order to build the base for future Sustainable Profitable Growth.
Qualifications and competencies
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master would be an advantage.
- Min. 5 years working experience in Sales, with a min. 3 years Strategic / Key Account Management.
- Strong knowledge of the outdoor, sporting goods, footwear & apparel retail industry.
- Task orientated and results driven – Team Player.
- Influential skills.
- Strong Relationship, Management and Negotiation Skills.
- Strategic and analytical mind-set, ability to prioritize and plan.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office pack in particular Excel and Power Point.
- Very good knowledge of the English language, written & spoken is obligatory.
