Your role
Do you have an interest in market risk? Do you know how to work well within a team, to develop and deliver solutions? We are looking for a junior candidate to join the global Treasury Risk Control Team to fulfil the following role requirements:
- Learn about risk control and treasury risks
- Support Treasury Risk Control with FRTB related work
- Develop and become responsible for daily risk controls
- Run and maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Review transactions, analyse risk exposures compared to expectations and limits
- Ensure that material issues are escalated to the relevant control functions
- Support senior Treasury Risk Officers on various topics (including presentation slide creation)
- Remain up-to-date on regulatory requirements and trends
Your team
You will be working in the Treasury Risk Control team in Krakow. Our role is to support Treasury Risk Officers in Zurich, performing pre-defined risk exposure controls, running daily risk reviews, preparing regular risk reports and by participating in FRTB projects. You will interact and work in close collaboration on a daily basis, with departments and functions in other locations, specifically, Treasury Risk Control, Group Risk Control, Finance functions and Trading Desks
Your experience and skills
You have:
- a university degree in finance or a quantitative discipline
- experience in the financial industry or academic focus on financial markets (including products, e.g. bonds, options, swaps etc.) and the corresponding risks
- some knowledge of risk management including risk metrics (e.g. VaR, Stress testing, sensitivity analysis)
- strong analytical skills
- knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
- any prior knowledge or experience in treasury, and/or risk control would be an advantage
- Any prior experience with FRTB would be a strong advantage
- Any prior experience within UBS would be an advantage
You are:
- a quick learner
- quantitatively talented individual
- collaborative and team oriented but able to work independently
- fluent in English and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- a hard-working individual willing to go the extra mile
- able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
