Junior Group Buyer

Jobs description:
The role will be called on to support both level global and local projects, so basic negotiation and communication skills are required. Junior Group Buyer coordinates purchasing activities with stakeholders requests to achieve the result in a cost effective and timely manner. Performs cost analysis, recommends cost saving proposals with alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.
Works on issues of moderate and less scope where analysis of situations or data are required so analytical skills shall be at least at intermediate level. Junior Group Buyer will be a part of team working on implementation of category strategy so strong strong sense of team is required, knowing that their efforts contribute to the success of the whole. Shall express strong willingness to learn and capability for further development within purchasing organization.
As a Junior Buyer, your daily responsibilities are:
- Lead non-complex purchasing activities to drive continuous improvement for the Group
- Support the end-to-end sourcing process including searching for new supplier options
- Communicate, follow-up and maintain the commercial agreements in portfolio
- Achieve your KPIs
- Negotiate with suppliers on all commercial terms with support of superior purchasing team member
- Ability to research and identify capable vendors or contractors
- Work with stakeholders and the Procurement Team to prepare RFP specifications and structure
- Support implementation of category strategy together with a Procurement Team
- Maintain a variety of procurement processes and systems such Coupa (purchasing tool)
Qualifications:
Personal skills:
- Minimum 1 year of proven negotiations record in a global, multinational, strategic procurement environment
- Process oriented in global company with independent entities
- Good written and spoken English
- Minimum intermediate level Excel skills
- The ability to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines and finite resource and uncertainty
- The ability to achieve the ends in quickly changing business environment
- Project management experience as an additional asset
- Proper customer service orientation and problem solving skills
