Job description
- Supporting JAVA and PHP based application platforms
- Cross platform troubleshooting including applications, application servers, databases, operating systems, storage and network
- Cooperating with other BPO IT team members on design and development
- Cooperating with Business IT on solution improvements
Position purpose
Capgemini Global BPO IT delivers various support services for our international clients around the world. We are looking for young individuals ready to start career in challenging IT environment as part time apprentice team member. Our team is responsible for supporting and extending functionality in several business critical applications used by few thousand people. The purpose of the Junior Applications Platform Administrator position is to provide a second line support, optimization and maintenance of the applications and environment for BPO applications.
Requirements
- IT related studies
- Experience in administering and/or developing web applications, preferably in Java and/or PHP
- Familiarity with the following operating systems:
- Windows
- RedHat Linux
- Knowledge of any following technologies will be an asset:
- JAVA application servers – JBOSS, Tomcat
- Clustering and Load Balancing
- Java development
- SQL queries
- Network - basic knowledge of IP 4 (addressing, subnetting, routing)
- Very good command of English
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week
- Willingness to work in a multinational and multi cultural environment
- Willingness to learn how to communicate affectively and work as a team member
