Process & Set-up Engineer in charge of troubleshooting, repair of machines, preparation and realization of setup projects, internal or customers test cut for the department Process Engineering as well as the customers training on our multispindle and single-spindle products.
- Preparing setup, cut test and customer tests records as per acceptance conditions and/or as per customer order (programming, conception and tooling orders)
- Preparing and installing machines and their devices
- Implementing setup, cut test and customer tests as per acceptance conditions and/or as per customer order
- Conducting production studies for our multispindle and single-spindle machines cooperatively with technical- and commercial departments
- Preparing and presenting in-house training courses to customers for our multispindle and single-spindle machines (programming, handling and small maintenance) or sometimes at customer’s premises (coaching)
- Applies and respects processes and rules in force
- Makes sure that specifications of setup and testing projects are abided by
- Makes sure that machines and their devices meet customer specifications
- Ensures coherence of delivery dates of all elements necessary to prepare the machine (machine, devices, tooling, raw materials, elements of specific developments)
- Supports his/her colleagues on technical matters such as knowledge of the machine, turning, tooling, programming, testing parts, in addition to encouraging exchange of experiences between collaborators
- Participates to the various meetings on analyzing and launching new setup projects, test cut or customer tests
- Is deployed to customers to solve process problems or to supply coaching
- Prepares setup, cut test and customer test records as per acceptance conditions and/or as per customer order
- Achieves the parts programming, conception and order for tooling related to setup projects, test cut and customer tests as per acceptance conditions and/or as per customer order
- Travels to customer to ensure the setup, to launch the implementation process and/or to assist customer in the implementations phase of the machine (coaching)
- Conducts production studies for our multispindle and single-spindle machines cooperatively with technical- and commercial departments
- Prepares and presents in-house training courses to customers for our multispindle and single-spindle machines (programming, handling and small maintenance) or sometimes to customers premises (coaching)
Basic training:
Holder of a CFC degree as screw-machine operator, a diploma as a mechanical technician and/or mechanical engineer with good skills in electronic and software
Skills:
- Very good knowledge of Swiss-type machining and its environment
- Very good knowledge of the machines and their functions
- Very good knowledge of CNC programming
- Good knowledge English
- To be comfortable with human contact (customers and subsidiaries) in a multicultural/international environment with a good dose of diplomacy
