Expertise in Javascript including:
● DOM Tree and related issues
● Pragmatic knowledge of differences between major browser engines (WebKit, Trident)
● AJAX
● Single page apps
● Code modularization (AMD, Browserify etc.)
● Strong understanding of JavaScript even the ugly parts
● Ability to make pragmatic decisions
● Clean coding skills
● Problem solving ability
Nice to have:
● Interest in user interface programming
● Experience in building web data visualizations with D3
● Knowledge of design patterns and refactoring techniques
● Experience with unit testing and automation testing frameworks
● Experience optimizing Javascript for high performance
● Experience with cookies, cross-domain scripting and other browser security issues
● Experience with Node.JS
● Familiar with SMACSS and experience with CSS preprocessors
● Experience with data streaming/exchange technologies
