You will be part of our Game Engine team, building Big Data collection and merging services, cooperating with Data Scientists and Analysts. Working within multidisciplinary project teams to understand requirements & figure out how best to meet them. We want to make Big Data available and usable for everyone.
As a JavaScript Developer you will be responsible for planning, developing & deploying highly configurable and scalable crawlers for crawling several hundreds of APIs which are each-by-each different in access, limitation and amount of data. You'll be responsible to architect generic crawlers which are able to crawl already known and new APIs automatically as often and as fast as possible with as less as possible set-up and permanent maintenance effort.
- 3+ years of experience developing JavaScript backend applications
- Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and design principles behind a scalable application
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
- Outstanding engineering talent proven by great results, open source contribution
- Experience of developing software for distributed data applications
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, REST
- Experience working within an Agile software development process, particularly Scrum
- Experience with source code management using GIT code repositories
- Self-reliant, proactive professional
- Come up with best suitable technology and architecture for their tasks
- Implementation of data crawlers
- Contributing to selection of technology stack and architecture design for new tools
- Communicate constantly with product owner to understand and measure business values of developed features
- Work closely with Data Analysts and Scientists to understand requirements & figure out how best to meet them
