Java developer + AWS + Big data

You will join our Java Cloud Team that is working on Big-Data solutions for publishers and leading e-commerce retailers in Europe. We are looking for a highly motivated Data Scientist to enhance our team to create innovative and value creating solutions for our customers.

You will be part of a team which constantly adds features to our cloud based Personalization Solution. You research, evaluate, develop and integrate new algorithms and models to improve our existing solutions.

• Development of new Search and Recommendation methods by using the newest technology;
• Integration of algorithms in a Java based SaaS Product on AWS;
• Scouting new technologies to improve and thrive our cloud infrastructure;
• Batch and streaming analysis of tracking and log data.

• Educational degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or similar;
• Solid knowledge in Data Mining and Feature Selection/Extraction;
• Creativity in finding and understanding of complex correlations;
• Hands-on experience in Elasticsearch, MapReduce frameworks and the Hadoop Zoo;
• Experience and good knowledge in SQL;
• Good scripting and programming skills;
• Good English are a must and basic German language nice to have.
