IT Project Manager

Position purpose
The purpose of the Project Manager position is to lead small to medium-sized projects for internal and external CG clients.
Main accountabilities
- Responsible for definition and delivery of the overall scope of the project
- Works with Capgemini client and/or Engagement Manager to coordinate all activities
- Partners with BPO IT delivery teams to define the deliverables and schedules for a project.
- Accountable for management of all project activities across BPO IT including Business Analysis, Infrastructure, Development, Testing, Release Management, and Deployment.
- Coordinates with the responsible Business IT resource
- Deliver according to budget with no additional non-funded costs, by:
- Monitor and maintain accountability to flag any discrepancies between initial agreements and raising those as a project change request
- Reports on the weekly bases project progress and financials (including risk areas) to Project Management supervisor
- Maintain action, issue and risk log through the project.
- Ensure sign off on all milestones and communicate/escalate to Project Management supervisor and Business IT on any delays/project impacts.
Candidate’s profile
- Able to organise, prioritise and manage own workload, proactive and strong at self management, able to work under pressure on small to medium-sized projects with oversight from the Project Management supervisor.
- Able to summarise and analyse complex situations. Follow analytical and methodical approach to working with keen eye for detail
- Able to manage conflicting time demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Tenacious and assertive & challenging, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Ambitious and result-oriented
- A willingness to learn, grow and stretch in to new roles with different clients
Requirements
- Area of education – IT or science
- Having PMP and/or Agile certification would be an asset
- Strong command of MS Office – MS Excel is a must, MS Project is an asset
- Ability to influence at management levels in the BPO organization
- Strong relationship building, communication, and negotiation/influencing skills
- Able to build rapport quickly in a multicultural environment
- Good project management ability
- Ability to take action and produce desired outcomes with limited direction
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Previous project management experience is a must
- Very good analytical skills
- Fluent English is essential, other language would be an advantage
