Within the Hitachi Energy IT “Platforms and Application” our department “Enabling Capabilities” has as a mission to build, operate and grow fit-for purpose IT application solutions that support and automate processes in the area of knowledge sharing, IT4IT, human resources, finance, as well as government institutions, risk, audit & compliance.
The position is for one of the 4 IT Domain Leads, the IT Finance Domain Lead. As IT Domain Lead you are responsible for developing and implementing the IT delivery capability for Finance (including accounting, consolidation & reporting, tax & treasury, risk management). The team plans, develops, runs, and supports Finance solutions for Business. You lead a team of IT Specialists that is distributed over different countries and two main hubs (India, Poland). In addition, you are responsible for a large number of external contractors and the vendor/provider relationship management.
- Collaborate closely with the senior IT leadership and leadership peers on the overarching IT strategy for the build-up of necessary IT capabilities. Closely partner with other IT leaders and IT employees for the cross-organizational build-up of Hitachi Energy.
- Intensify and maintain close Business Relationships to be on top of the priorities and capabilities needed and establish and oversee the Business-IT Governance together with Business leaders.
- Prioritize new business demand and project portfolio in collaboration with the “Enabling Capabilities” Leadership Team, while aligning it with IT and Business strategy and realizing business benefits. In addition, you oversee the quality of project execution in the finance domain.
- Develop the Finance’ IT application target landscape and IT service portfolio together with Enterprise Architecture, infrastructure and IT security team, as well as align on its roadmap for implementation.
- Ensure end-to-end IT service delivery of Finance IT applications for the complete application lifecycle, including its end-to-end processes.
- Responsible for service performance, quality, and stability, while upholding SLA agreements. Financial responsibilities for the domain (budget, forecasting, cost tracking).
- Lead, motivate and develop internal team of specialists for the benefit of both Hitachi Energy and its employees, and take care of the proper organization, staffing and skillset within the IT domain.
- Responsible for the external provider/vendor management from contract negotiation, staffing, to the control of costs, mitigation of risks to improvement of service quality.
- A Master’s degree in Computer science, Economics, or related fields. Continuous development in the field of IT and Finance.
- More than 10 years of experience in managing IT application organizations within global multinational companies.
- At least 5 years’ experience in managing corporate Finance (or other) applications portfolio.
- At least 5 years’ experience in leading large projects and managing transformation.
- Extensive experience in aligning and communicating with different stakeholders from Business and IT, ranging from specialist to Senior Management.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.
- Broad knowledge about different software technologies and trends (DevOps, Cloud, etc.).
- Solid understanding and experience with key corporate Finance business processes and IT related process frameworks (ITIL or other).
- Strong leadership abilities and experience within large, global, and distributed teams; create a common understanding across the extended team (internal and external), providing clear directions, motivating, and growing talents within the organizations.
- Fluent English language (written and spoken) is a must.
